Imperia Middleware

Imperia Middleware Inc. is the small software company through which I build and publish my apps. It is a company of one, which suits the kind of software I like to make: focused, personal, and finished. Three apps are on the App Store.

PortCall app icon: a brass porthole framing a rising stock chart in green and red.

PortCall

Markets radio for the drive. PortCall turns the trading day into a radio show. Four times each trading day it builds a fresh spoken briefing on the market, voiced by a pair of hosts, and plays it back through CarPlay, on your iPhone, or on your Apple Watch, hands-free. The shared briefings are free. Members can name the tickers they hold and hear those companies covered in their own briefings. PortCall never connects to a brokerage account; it only ever knows the tickers you choose to tell it.

Get Smart!

Smart or not smart? AI decides. You tell Get Smart! something you did, by typing or speaking, and it weighs the choice on impact, effort, alignment with your goals, and novelty, then delivers a verdict. It keeps streaks and trophies, runs friendly leaderboards, and maintains a "Goat List" of your least inspired decisions. Free, with optional in-app purchases, for iPhone.

Hot Tub Watch

Time and track your soaks on Apple Watch. Hot Tub Watch records a hot tub session as an Apple Health workout, from your wrist. It shows elapsed time, heart rate, and estimated calories, and on watches with a water-submersion sensor it records water temperature and depth as well. Sessions are saved to Apple Health and can be reviewed later in the iPhone companion app. A small paid app for watchOS and iOS.
